Who We Are

Mill Road has been helping schools sports organizations for over twenty years. We are motivated experienced soccer professionals with a demonstrated history of developing and creating elite performance and sustainable grassroots environments. Skilled in coaches, recruitment, solution implementation, strategic planning and excelling at resource allocation. A dynamic and charismatic group who knows the value of integrity, trust and accountability.

Our daily After School Activities are for boys and girls aged 5-19. They are run by our highly qualified coaching staff and are a brilliant mix of coaching and free-play fun!

Groups are split by age and ability to make sure everybody has great fun while keeping active and learning new skills!

Even though we focus on soccer, we do have the option to offer different sports, giving children the chance to try a sport they haven’t played before.

We have a range of sessions available depending upon the needs of students and the school. We have pre-school, after school and during school options.

Elk Grove Charter School Program

In accordance to the Mill Road philosophy we love to work closely with parents/schools  and we recognize a huge importance in the development of children . Your child will be cared for when in our programs, valued and most importantly will be happy. Your child will then be ready to learn and enjoy their school. We recently partnered with Elk Grove Charter and Elk Grove Soccer. Here is our CEO, Andrew Donnery, talking about the project.

FAQ

For more than 25 years, we’ve been passionate about providing sports to young people.

Our school programs are  dedicated to teaching students through positive sport learning experiences so that they will be successful at all levels of school. We believe the unique learning styles of students should be considered when planning and implementing learning activities.

A recent BBC article cited a longitudinal study conducted among 5,000 children and adolescents. The study found links strong links between exercise and exam success in English, math, and science. The increase in academic performance was estimated to start after 17 minutes of exercise performed by boys; in the case of girls, the increase was detected after 12 minutes. The study was carried out by the universities of Strathclyde and Dundee, and found physical activity particularly beneficial to girls’ performance at science; the authors said this could be a chance finding, but it may also reflect gender differences in the impact of physical activity on the brain. Overall, children who exercise regularly are proven to be more academically inclined between the ages of 11 to 16. Dr. Josie Booth of Dundee University explained: “Physical activity is more than just important for your physical health. There are other benefits and that is something that should be especially important to parents, policy-makers, and people involved in education.”
